This is a good blank. The tail spins well, it floats, and it caught me a bunch of fish today.
It loses a star because it's not precisely a choppo in shape and size. The shape is not a huge deal. It looks like they took a Karashi model and expanded it and modified it to work as a plopper. It's nice, has good detail on the gills. No complaints about the actual blank.
The size is the bigger factor, and it can actually be a benefit to you as it was for me. It's a bit undersized. For me, where I plan on using this, it's a good thing. It's a small private pond with smaller largemouth. They were not shy about hitting it because it wasn't too intimidating.
I notice it sits a little lower in the water than I want, and I'll probably size down the hooks to compensate, which I think will match the body better anyway.
My issue is just that it's tricky to match hooks and lures if the sizes aren't really what you expect, so if you're planning a big order you may end up with a different mix of hooks than you really need. The suggested hook size #4 is quite disproportionate.
