I'll admit in only reviewing after just testing out some finished lures on clear water to see the action, and I've yet to catch a fish.
But this blank is excellent. It had an extremely erratic action, sinks at a medium pace but also sits still for a second or two when you pause during your retrieve, so you can do a stop and go without it ending up dug into the bottom. It takes no particular skill to make it dart like crazy, just reel in it with jerky turns of the handle. If you want a fairly tight wobble instead, just reel it in slow and steady. Very cool lure. It's on the chubby side so I'll be targeting largemouth with it. Youd need to come across a pretty big smallie for this to be a good choice for that species.
